Did you know?
A petrol or diesel engine can be over 60% the cost of the entire vehicle. Mechanical and electronic components can fail for any number of reasons and without a warranty plan, you will have to pay for costly repairs or even replacement of parts.
Do you need a vehicle warranty?
Most new vehicles have a 3 to 5 year warranty at least but peace of mind does not have to end with this term. A motor warranty plan can ensure that your vehicle is covered for years thereafter.
Mechanical components, like the engine, gearbox, shaft and differential, collectively cost more than the value of most vehicles. Electronic components, especially onboard computer systems that control most vehicles these days, can also be very costly to repair or replace.
Without motor warranty cover, any repairs or the replacement of components will be on your bill. This could mean that your vehicle will be off the road until you have the finances available, which may require tens to hundreds of thousands of rands.
